Sri Lanka produces more than 900,000 metric tons of fruit and vegetables annually and exports both fresh and processed varieties to many destinations in the world. 65% of the fresh products are targeted for the Middle East and the Maldives Island and about 98% of the processed products for the European market. United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, India, UK, Kuwait, India, Germany, Qatar, Pakistan have been enlisted as the major fruits, nt and vegetable importing countries from Sri Lanka.

Kithul Treakle

Kithul treacle is produced by heating the sap of the kithul flower and it’s a great natural sweetener with low GI that creates huge demand locally as well as overseas.

Kithul treacle or syrup is often used as a sweetener in traditional desserts like curd and treacle, a buffalo milk curd with palm treacle drizzled on top. Kithul treacle is also used as a sweetener in Sinhalese and Tamil New Year treats like kavum, aluwa, aasmi, walithalapa, Pongal, paniyaram, Sri Lankan pancakes, and other delicacies.

Kitul jaggery

Kitul jaggery is produced by boiling the collected sap of a kitul flower over an open woodfire hearth. To make jaggery, it must be boiled beyond the point it turns to treacle so that it thickens further and then it should be poured into the moulds typically fashioned out of coconut shells, which explains their typical shape.

Pure Ceylon Tea

Ceylon Tea is categorised into four main types of teas, namely Black Tea, Green Tea, White Tea and Oolong Tea, available as loose leaf tea, tea bags, and tea packets. These tea types are also available in Organic, Decaffeinated and Instant tea versions for retail and bulk purchase. In addition, Ceylon Tea is also available in fruit, herbal and spice flavours.

Dried Fish

We provide a wide range of tasty Dry Fish which are catches by Sri Lankan fishermen and dried by natural air and sun light. Most demanded varieties are Sprats (Halmessa),Pulunna.,Bombili.Cape Mackeral (Linna/Saman Para),Katuwalla,Angulu,Maldivefish and Katta.

Sri Lanka’s rich history makes for a extensive and unique knowledge of herb and plant properties.

Now with such knowledge taken to the western world, Sri Lanka has seen a rising demand for products derived from herbs and plants, some of which are unique, only to the island.

Herbal products exported include, oils, hair and skin care products, cooking products, as well as medicinal herbs used in ayurveda and other medical uses.

Sri Lanka, a small island surrounded by the vast ocean, has been famous across the world for its geographical position, its all-summer nature, healthy soil, breathtaking sceneries, and its extensive biodiversity.

Handicrafts & Clay pots

Sri Lanka is rich in traditions, and creativity which comes from one of the oldest civilizations in the world. It dates back thousands of years and is firmly rooted in authentic culture. Owing to its long, rich history, the Arts & Crafts in Sri Lanka have been evolving.

Sri Lanka is known for their rustic clay pottery, which is still popular today. Pottery is one of the oldest handicrafts in Sri Lanka, which has existed since the beginning of the Sinhala civilization. Many different artistic products are made using natural clay. Most popular pottery items are small votive lamps, graceful water jugs, decorative ornaments, and various clay cooking vessels . The best of these products could be seen or bought at Molagoda off Kegalle on the Kandy road.

Free of harmful substances, using clay pots for cooking and serving is a healthy choice. Natives used them to preserve food, unspoiled and dry. Moreover, food cooked in clay vessels is generally considered tastier. People now tend to look for authentic products devoid of toxic substances, and clay products are indeed the healthier choice.
